Procedure to generate booking on I-STEM portal: Step-Wise Equipment Slot Booking & Payment Procedure (For External Users through I-STEM Portal):
1) Registration/Login: Register as a user on the I-STEM Portal preferably with your official email id and log in to your account.
2) Search Equipment: Search required equipment on the I-STEM portal. Enter the Equipment Name or Code (Equipment Code are given in the below table)
3) Equipment Information Page: The Equipment Info page will be displayed. Select the appropriate Usage Type and Sample Charges as applicable. (Please select the correct User Type as mentioned during registration.) Then, proceed to Equipment Reservation.
4) Acknowledgement Statement for Equipment Users: The Acknowledgement Statement for Equipment Users page will appear. Kindly scroll down to read all instructions (this is a mandatory step) and click Submit.
5) Equipment Information and Contact Operator: Click on Download Customized Service Request Form (CSRF) to obtain the requisition form along with the bank details of DEAN SRIC, IIT Roorkee. Then, click Next.
Note: Please keep the CSRF ready in advance (if applicable) before making an equipment reservation and upload it on the Technical Information Page/Service/Job Requisition Form using the upload (Choose File) option.
6) Booking Calendar: Select your desired date and click Next.
7) Booking Details: Carefully fill in all required details and proceed to the next step.
8) Service/Job Requisition Form: Complete all required fields and upload the CSRF using the Choose File option (this is compulsory).
9) Equipment and Booking Information: Review all details carefully and click Book Now to confirm your slot. Wait for the slot approval from the respective instrument lab incharge.
10) Booking Confirmation: Booking details will be sent to your registered email address and will also be visible in your account.
11) Payment: Transfer the amount in the above mentioned bank account.
Note: Payment must include the applicable GST @18%
12) Dispatching of the sample: Kindly dispatch the samples along with requisition form and transaction receipt to IIC address.

Kindly mention e-mail and mobile number in the application.
2) Our centre receives a large number of samples from all over India, and there is always a long waiting queue. Therefore, kindly cooperate with us and do not dispatch the samples without prior discussion with the lab incharge.
3) Samples received without prior intimation/discussion will be analyzed as and when slots are available.
4) Kindly contact the lab incharge of the respective facility before sending the samples for the measurement.
5) External users are requested to register using official email id for easy verification. If you opt to use personal email id (gmail, yahoo and rediffmail) for registration, kindly provide scan copy of your official id for verification. You are also requested to mention you full details like designation, affiliation and official address during registration.
